HIGHLAND GAMES
On behalf of the Fir Cruthen, High King Cole invites peoples from every corner of the world to attend the annual highland games in Caledonia. Every year around the festival of Lughnasadh the clans of the highlands host games in honour of the Sun God Lugh. Men and women compete in trials of martial skill, physical fitness and mental agility. The great families make show of their wealth and hospitality and clan champions display their prowess in feats of strength. In gratitude to the War Host who have fought and sacrificed to free FirCruthen lands, the Clan Chiefs extend their welcome to the United Factions. The games are governed by ancient laws that ensure lord and servant alike can enjoy the festivities to the fullest. The circles at Atholl provide the setting for this ancient tradition, and it is hoped that the invitation will be well received by the Factions, and perhaps even by the Empire. With the Formori crushed and the Keltoi gone from their lands the Fir Cruthen are enjoying a time of stability and peace, but the past has shown that where the War Host travels, trouble inevitably follows. What will be the ramifications of the events in Teutonia and Gibraltar? Will troubles from there dog the war host’s steps even as far as Caledonia - or will new threats and enemies appear to trouble the free folk even at this celebration? Whatever happens keep your blades sharp and your wits with you even here as you would anywhere else in this dangerous world as if the truth be told danger is never far from you at all!
Come one and all to the games of Caledonia and experience this unique piece of the FirCruthen’s culture. Come to represent your faction in the trials, share in the rich hospitality and reap the rewards on offer.
