A GUIDE TO MONSTERING
We at Curious Pastimes would like to thank those who have attened previous events and monstered for us. With the nature of our system and style of battles it has become established that all players need to monster at one time or another. For some of you we recognise that donation of time has been great. Whilst trying not to reveal the plots we deliver each year, you the players always inform us of spare costume you have at home and wish you'd known what the plot was so you could bring these costumes with you for monstering. So we thought we would include a monstering guide and the types of monster kits to make battles/skirmishes look even more impressive than they already do. It has long been part of our desire to deliver realistic and diverse battles of a reasonable length, and with your help we have acheived this. In-combat time, our battles are three to four times longer than our competitors and this is with your help. So how do we improve make-up and basic kit has already created identifiable monsters in a large scale, so now we would ask you to go one step further. In terms of kit a basis of black (no surprise there!) for battles when monstering; but you can add to this by bringing masks or costumes that reflect all types of monsters and undead and any other striking costumes you might have. When monstering we would ask you to follow the simple guidelines below:
And lastly if we haven't said it already, many, many thanks for your active participation in Curios Pastimes and monstering!
