RENEWAL OF MAGIC 1109
After the attempt last Renewal to finally complete the Ritual of the Renewal after so many years of neglect many feel that no matter how flawed that attempt may have been these efforts should be continued. To that end King von Hapsburg once again welcomes all the Factions to the Black Forest but this time to the Great Circle, surely if any attempt would be successful it would be here?Also it is a time of the Harvest and despite all the troubles the Vipers invite you all to celebrate this time of plenty and hope. But as ever storm clouds gather upon the horizon and who can tell when or where they will break next?
There is still the matter of the Constructs that have plagued the Factions over the last two years seeming to appear wherever the Factions travel to and no matter what the circumstances. It is indeed rumoured that the evil lord of the Constructs Sebastian von Beck does indeed hail from this area of Teutonia so this may be a golden opportunity to try to deal with him and his minions once and for all.
There is also the matter of the reports of Demon worshipping tribes living within the dark and mysterious forest. Who can tell if they wish the Factions good or ill, but being Demon worshippers it seems more likely that the latter is the case!
Many say that the Keltoi and Amgeara used the Ritual Circles to reach our lands in some way or another and that therefore any other peoples from their lands could do the same, indeed is it not more likely that if this is true that it will happen here at the Great Circle? Hopefully if it does then they will be well disposed to the Free Peoples like the Amgeara but it is probably just as likely that they will not be and so this potential threat must be guarded against as well.
As if all of the above were not enough to worry about there is still the constant potential menace from the east, the Imperials! Whilst there has been peace between the Factions and the Imperial Court now for several years there is no denying that the Imperials are subject to internal frictions the same as anybody else. What effect will these frictions have upon their relations with the Factions and where will everybody stand in the future? Some argue that the Shogun is a stabilising element but others believe that as a military man his thoughts turn naturally to military matters such as conquest! Whatever the outcome of the years political manoeuvring it is almost certain that the Imperials cannot and will not be ignored.
Whatever and whoever the foe there is sure to be a need of keen minds and swift sword arms in the days ahead so welcome once again to Teutonia. May your gods light your way and your sword keep the way clear for your friends!
