RENEWAL OF MAGIC 1110
This fine summer, Bothvar invites all the war hosts of the free peoples to celebrate the Ritual of Renewal on the summer fields of Odinsheim. Perhaps this year the omens and portents will be favourable and at long last the Ritual of Renewal can be successfully completed to begin the restoration of balance within the world?There are the matters of Jarl Jarfin’s recently failed coup to resolve and no doubt his supporters are still at large in Norsca, ready to stir up trouble for Bothvar and his allies. There is also the matter of the Tagmatoi. Has their power been truly broken by the Factions or are they just awaiting their opportunity to strike a telling blow against the free folk? What other strange peoples may follow this warlike host? Also, are there other folk following them - or have the Factions truly put an end to any such further threats? Only time will tell, but it seems likely that there are many twists and turns in this particular tale before we shall see the end of it. And what of the Keltoi? Will they hold to their bargains with the Factions or once again become a terror to the free world?
Will there be additional perils to face as the Imperial hold is freely removed from some of their conquests? Will other warlords follow the example of the late General Tei and attempt to carve out their own empires? Will these lands throw up their own leaders whose aims are perhaps at odds with the Factions and are these troubled lands perfect targets for any remaining Tagmatoi or new invaders looking for easy victories? Indeed, despite his claims will Heyami once again turn his thoughts to conquest? It would seem unlikely given that he has freely waived control of previously conquered territories - but who can say what thoughts truly pass within his inscrutable mind!
As ever, the storm clouds are never too far from the horizon and who can tell what lurks and plots within the dark places of this world or others? Rumours of Demons and such like still abound and what are the Elementals and Celestials and what are their aims and thoughts for this world?
Perhaps all will be well however and you can all rest and enjoy all the pleasures and wonders that Norsca has to offer. If this is the case make sure your purse is full but secure and that your mind is full of good cheer. So sharpen your swords and wits, brothers and sisters and travel to the fields of Odinsheim for the Renewal of Magic!
