    • THE RITUAL CIRCLE

    With Curious Pastimes continually growing and more ritual groups attending than ever before we have decided to make some changes to the working processes of the Ritual Circle. We hope that many of these will help to create a fair and balanced availability of ritual slots, that results will become more quickly available and that ritual groups will have the opportunity of speaking in character with the Head Mage, Brother Gabriel, to discuss possibility for rituals and methods of continous improvement. Ritual groups this year will need to adopt the following processes. They are presented here for your information

    Book the ritual slot through the Faction Head Ritualist. (This can be done up to one month prior to an event incurring a cheaper price for the slot. Or they can book at an event incurring the full price). To do this they must send the booking form through their Head Riualist (so they can answer any questions about the overall faction ritual activity) to 'Brother Gabriel'. At an event the form must be brought to the ritual circle. The booking form must be fully completed to be valid. This has been done to allow each faction an even availability of ritual slots in the first instance, though there will be others available using the same format, either through 'non-faction slots' or 'unused faction slots'. Mercenaries will have to contact 'Brother Gabriel' direct.

  • The Ritual Group will then need to contact FX at least one hour prior to the ritual with a completed FX sheet or only minimal effects will be given decided by the FX crew.
  • The Ritual Group must arrive five mintues before the ritual and contact the OOC marker.
  • Payment is required at that time only and in full.
  • The OOC marker will give the OK to start a ritual once they have spoken to FX

    At Fayre of the Steppe & Foreboding the circle will be 'Mundane'
    At Portents the circle will be 'Mundane'
    At Renewal only the circle will be 'Greater'
    It should be noted that at Renewal you could attempt major rituals or the end of sequential rituals.

    You will note that pre-booked rituals have become cheaper, whilst at an event they have become more expensive. Hopefully many will plan ahead of time unless there is that desperate urge for a divination!
