    Event Description
The High Monarch gazed forlornly across the smoldering trees of Elmet. The pogrom against the Elven nuisance had been devastating, for all Blackwell the Blackhearted had insisted it was necessary. Still, a small part of him remained unsure of the path they took.

His introspection was interrupted by the entrance of one of his closest advisors, the Baron Grysophrex. “Our ...” - they paused momentarily, grappling for composure before almost spitting the next word - “allies in Teutonia, and Siberia seem to be readying fleets to help us crush the zealots. Soon we shall wring the last vestiges of worship from your lands.”

The High King's gaze turned east towards Elvesham, and its mist enchanted forest. “Soon…”

Deep beneath the shrouded canopies of the dark Oxford trees, the Carnage Witch stood in front of her third congregation of the day. “The state has taken your mothers and fathers, and burned them for bending the knee to the rightful Gods of our home.” Each child absorbed her every word, enraptured by the fire of belief in her eyes. “We shall show them that the Gods should be feared; we shall salt their farms, poison their wells, and if we pray hard enough we can call to the Black Rabbit and your dead parents will return to fight alongside us.”

As her words echoed through the crowd, she allowed her steely gaze to fall deeper into the darkness, towards the edge of the mists themselves. Perhaps even the fanatics of Norsca, and scale balancing folk from the Steppe lands would rally to her cause. The trap would be sprung and Albion would be under her yoke of dominance.”Soon…”

The border of the mists was not a place for mortal folk, but it was here that the rag tag band of misfits who dared to stand up against the despotic regime found themselves obfuscated from both sides. Their leader, the Wicker Man, seemed shaken from his time in Kol Kathrac, muttering darkly to himself - long forgotten mantras of how Albion once was. His stalwart pragmatism was a little harder to be certain of since meeting with the dispossessed warhosts. But one key belief endured - if all else failed the mists could be dropped, and his enemies destroyed.

The future fates swirled in the pool, and the seer smiled as she knitted. Perhaps in another time and place the United Factions would have come to the borders of Elvesham and decided who should rule. Cunning folk from the Akesh would have consorted with fickle Algaia. The painted Fir Cruthen would have worked alongside the sly Jhereg to help manage the votes. Staunch Teutonians and noble Norscans would have chosen their sides. And the balanced view point of the Steppe would have helped the mercenaries to weigh the fate of her home with more than mere coin in mind.

But that was a different droll of Albion now shattered beyond recognition. Here she needed another bait on her hook to entice them. She smiled again at the thought of her husband's forge, of his seven, exquisitely crafted blades. The cadence of her knitting needles changed, and the design of the garment transformed with it…
